Writing, riding and muddling through one day at a time. Occasionally, a story happens.

Only a couple of years ago, my drink of choice was a peaty scotch double malt, but I have since learned the error of my ways.

Last time I rode this particular ride, independent authors didn’t really exist. Sure, self-publishing was a thing, but it was the kind of thing you knew to avoid, like the wrong neighborhood, pyramid schemes, or cheap whiskey.

If you spend much time here, you’re going to have to get used to the idea that you’re going to see a lot of horses.

Modern folks have a perceptive and cynical view of the world they live in, even if they prefer to live in it by focusing on the positive to avoid looking too close at the crazy.
